  • Alison Redford QC

    Director

    Alison is a lawyer who serves as a strategic advisor to governments and private clients, bringing more than 30 years' experience to regulatory reform, social and environmental sustainability, and energy transition policy. She graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, College of Law and holds a Master of Arts from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.

    Alison brings this experience to public and private boards in the extractives sector in emerging economies globally. As Premier of Alberta her government established the Alberta Energy Regulator in 2014. She led the Canadian Energy Strategy, adopted by First Ministers in 2015, and concluded the first comprehensive First Nations consultation in Canada with the Metis Nation of Alberta. She established the Sustainable Energy Endowment at the Inter-American Development Bank and is a strong proponent of inclusive project development; establishing commercial partnerships between government, industry, and civil society to promote integrated infrastructure planning, community development and environmental protection, providing commercial certainty for investors.

  • Veljko Brcic

    Director

    Veljko is the Vice President of Corporate Development at Inventa Capital and Vizsla Resources. He is responsible for the origination and structuring of new opportunities for both firms.

    Prior to joining Inventa, Veljko was based in Switzerland as part of the Investment team of Pala Investments, a mining-focused private equity fund. At Pala, his key tasks included identifying investment opportunities, evaluating and executing a wide range of private equity transactions, conducting sector reviews and managing a number of portfolio investments.

    Veljko holds an MBA with the highest academic honours from HEC Paris and a Bachelor of Commerce (hons) from the University of British Columbia. He is a dual Peruvian and Canadian citizen.

  • Janine Richardson

    Director

    Janine is a Chartered Professional Accountant and has worked in the mining industry for over 30 years. Janine graduated from McMaster University with a Bachelor in Economics and has a Diploma in Accounting from Wilfred Laurier University.

    Since 2016, Janine has been the CFO of IsoEnergy Ltd. Before that, she was Chief Financial Officer of Hillsborough Resources Limited, a privately- owned coal producer. Between 2006 and present, Janine provided financial consulting services to several publicly listed mining companies, primarily in the gold sector, including Atlantic Gold Corporation, Primero Mining Corp., Yukon-Nevada Gold Corp., Rio Alto Mining Ltd. and Goldgroup Mining Inc. From 1991 to 2006 she was Director of Group Accounting at Placer Dome Inc. which then operated 17 mines across five countries. At Placer Dome Inc., Janine was responsible for the financial reporting of global operations and integrating new acquisitions. From 1985 to 1991 Janine was a manager in the audit group (mining) at Ernst & Young LLP, Toronto.
